First of all, I want to express my gratitude to God, my Father, who has always been a constant presence.

 

Before my husband and I became pastors, we were regular attendees of Victory Church in Omaha, NE. At one point, our pastor, Joe Laughlin, had new carpet installed in the main church auditorium, and the services were temporarily held on the church's lower level. It was during one of these services that I had a vision.

Over the years, as I sought God about my calling to women, He spoke to me in a dream and directed me to start a nonprofit organization called Women of Wisdom, Inc. This felt outside my comfort zone because I was instructed to make it a non-faith-based organization. However, feeling compelled to obey His command, I decided to move forward. After several years of seeking His guidance about God's women, He told me, "I never said you could not do it." I realized that He was giving me permission to proceed with the annual conference.

 

He directed me to create a logo, indicating that it was time to move forward. I realized this initiative would begin as an annual women's conference focused on glorifying God, the topic He first began teaching me.

There is much more to the story, of course, but this should suffice for now. Over twenty years later, I can confidently say that I am here for you!
